Just a reminder, Kim M. and Lori R., that you signed up to provide dessert for chuckwagon. If you are unable to help this week, just let me know. Thanks!
New item being sold at the souvenir table on Friday:

BAND WEEKLY
September 10th, 2012

Dear Band Parents,
Special people make an organization great. Our school band is an organization made up of different groups of people with varied talents, interests and abilities. When each group shares these talents and abilities with the band, our students benefit with a positive educational experience.
The Hamilton High School Band is fortunate to have a terrific group of musicians. Their work in and out of the rehearsal is always a source of pride for me. They spend many hours preparing their music in order to perform at their best. They also serve as positive musical ambassadors throughout our school and community.
It is also important that we recognize the efforts of the administration and staff of Hamilton Local Schools. The value they place on providing the students the resources and opportunities to participate in a program like ours demonstrates their commitment to providing the students a first-class education that includes the arts.
All of this would not be possible however, if it were not for you, the parents and guardians. Your continued commitment to the artistic education of your child coupled with the first-hand support you extend are the reasons our program excels. The contribution of your most valuable resource – your time- is a powerful statement to the members of our band.
Thank you for serving as a volunteer. I hope that you enjoyed your experience with the band as much as the band enjoyed having you be a part. I sincerely hope that I can call on you again to serve in this capacity. You make a difference!
On behalf of all the students and myself, we again extend our sincere appreciation for your assistance.
Sincerely
Mr. Mark L. Frazier

To the Hamilton Band Parents:
Schedules and classes are now in place and we are focused on a solid curriculum certain to make a difference in the life of every student in our program. I would like to share some ways that you can help support our program.
Encouraging Parent: Competence is the result of dedication "time on Task". Music learning, music performance, and music appreciation are the outcomes of study, practice, and guided listening. With limited rehearsal time, it is imperative that students invest extra time in nurturing their talents and improving their skills. Please encourage a positive practice schedule. Remember that practice time must be framed as a benefit and not as a disciplinary penalty.
Loyal, Appreciative Audience: The best audience is always parents. You are faced with a full agenda in your personal and professional life, and you are challenged to adjust your schedule to accommodate every school function. However, your presence at our performances will mean more to your child than words can describe. Music is a family affair. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate your child's talent.
Booster Member: There are many ways to aid and participate in our parent support organization. Please join with other parents who realize the far-reaching potential of the
Arts and take advantage of the synergy created by sharing a common educational philosophy. This organization ensures the future of quality music education for your child and fellow artists.
The music program at Hamilton Local continues to flourish because of a substantive curriculum, a well- informed and supportive administration, and exemplary parental support. You make a difference!
I look forward to visiting with you in the near future.
In the interest of your child,
Mr. Mark L. Frazier
